Adella Grace was baptized into the Methodist Church on Sunday, and I also transferred my membership from the church I grew up in. Wheat and I, along with many of our family and friends and our Church family, vowed to raise her to walk in the faith and to do everything in our power to uphold her faith as she grows. She is such a blessed, fortunate baby girl, and it was a beautiful day spent with family and friends who are family. We are so grateful for it all, and most especially, for her and the sacrament of infant baptism.
I think Doc surprised her messing with her bonnet!
Love my girls! And my niece Elah loves her “Gray Gray.” We wondered what she would call Adella Grace… we didn’t expect Gray Gray, but it’s awfully cute!
This one kills me every time I look at it. My two favorite little girls love each other so much already!
Adella Grace’s dress and bonnet were hand crocheted by her Pops’ (my father-in-law Bruce’s) first cousin years ago in anticipation of a little girl to wear it. They sent it to us a few weeks after Adella Grace arrived, and on Sunday it looked like it had been made especially for her. It couldn’t have been more perfect or more beautiful (in so many ways).
We returned home to have lunch with our families, which was perfect. And I didn’t make a THING! Which was unlike me, and also amazing.
Seeing my home filled with so many I love so much, and who love Adella Grace so much, fills me with SUCH joy. We are so very, very blessed, and I’m so grateful to have shared the day with each one of these people. We love you all!
